A few more Prize sponsors lined up thanks to our friendly Lowrance staffer:
SONAR
Lowrance Elite-4 Fishfinder / Chartplotter-(This is a color sounder)
Landing Gear-
EGO S2 Slider Medium Landing Net
EGO Ultra-grip Tool w/40lb scale-That sounds bitchen!
Muy, muy appreciated!

Food notes-The smokers fire up at 9pm tonight and will run about 40 hours to get it to OC.  The BBQ sauce is custom, the meat is taking a dry rub, and since we're going low and slow through the night, the .22 is ready for racoons, badgers and other varmints  :smt005 :smt005 :smt005.  (It takes 2 racoons to make a hat but that's another story).  The hummus is organic and badass.
Thanks All

Sorry Spike, won't be able to attend this Sat. because I will be attending a memorial. As I just realized the event dates are in conflict, please pass this message and regards to Girard.

Free Launching this weekend at OC!
Ocean Cove has waived the $8 ramp-use fee for Tournament participants and said to tell everyone thanks for coming.  If you are just there for the day, the $7 day use is all you need to pay (to the store after fishing if they don't get you in the am at the ramp).  He also asked that I advise everyone using a vehicle on the ramp to drop the kayaks and gear fast, then clear the vehicle.  The average ramp time for kayak fishermen is about half an hour they tell me :smt005.  We anticipate a busy ramp Saturday morning.

Wheeling your kayak down the ramp is still the easiest way at Ocean Cove.

Hey Spike,
Dave (Tak 2) and I will be there.  It'll be his first tourney.  Any reports of Salmon being caught?  See you Friday.

Hey all-

Super new to this will only be my second time out -- if anyone has a good laminated fish ID chart for rockfish and related I could borrow, please bring it for me?  Will hunt for something suitable at the tackle shop tomorrow as well.  Don't want to get anything confused during the madness!

How is the launch at Ocean Cove?  Would my Pro Angler be doable for launching?  I checked Timber Cove and I could definitely do that one.  Is Ocean Cove's facility comparable?  This would be my first time in the Pacific if I make it out there but it could still be fun!

I just wouldnt want to show up to find that the launch isn't doable for my "tank" of a craft!  From what I've seen the weather and swell is supposed to be somewhat mild this weekend and Ive been wanting to try my hand at fishing the coast.  Since Lake Sonoma is closed I'm looking for somewhere to get out on the water!

You don't have to launch from OC...but to answer your question - yes OC is doable in your PA.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...
