Lowrance Elite 5 HDI

Lowrance just recently published the LONG AWAITED Elite 5 HDI.  Now you can have the benefits of traditional sonar and DSI in a 5" unit!!!  Fish deep water AND shallow water?  Want the benefits of crisp down scan imaging for the shallows and the capability to see traditional sonar in the deep water?  Here it is!

I wonder how many arms/legs this will cost? $599? $649?

Official word is availability of this unit will be in September .....  Plents of time for you to drop hints to the wife on how you want this as a Christmas gift!

Interesting, I may want to wait a few months to pick up a FF.

I have the 7 version and LOVE it.  Transducer is larger but not a deal breaker.

I just got an invitation to "testdrive" the prototype unit for a few weeks.  I'll post up some reviews once I can make it to the water.

This combo unit is perfect size for yaks. Using the DS to find fish under kelp/weeds/logs is great. Can't wait!

I'm spoiled with the Elite 7 HDI but I still can't wait for the Elite 5 HDI

Ya im stoked for the release might sell both elite 4s now lol

I do not have a fish finder on my yak yet.  Are most of these units sealed to survive the ocean water and possible tip overs?

Nice!  I'm really liking the Elite4 color sonar/gps unit.  I'll volunteer to field test the Elite 5 HDI!

Lowrance rep at BPS said they were also going to put out an Elite 4 HDI by December...for those who like an even smaller profile.
