911 attorneys and law enforcement

I am not sure if most of you know what happened to my Son Tyler but he is fighting for his life right now at Renown hospital in Reno. He was attacked Thur night Fri Morning He has a skull fracture and crushed face and was left for dead. He is sedated to just above the coma stage. 2 are in custody and 3-4 are still being sought. I am not getting any feedback and could use some advice from some of you Law professionals. I am over whelmed with

This is truly scary.  I cannot imagine how you must feel.  I have seen your Facebook posts and have wanted to say something but have failed to find any words.  I wish you strength in dealing with this awful situation.  I hope the your son has a complete and speedy recover from this vicious attack. 

This is terrible news. I'm so sorry Randall. You & Tyler have the combined strength of NCKA behind you.

Randall...I have been praying for Ty and you since I saw the news of Facebook. I wish I had some legal knowledge/advice to give but I don't.

this is sad horrible news..im so sorry to hear this randall..those motherfuckers are gonna pay..i was a victim of vicious beating as well and kno exactly how it feels and the pain it brings to friends and fam..My prayers are with u and your family Randall..justice will be served..

Could you tell us more specifically, what kind of feedback you are trying to get and/ or where you are not getting answers? That way we can ask the right questions of any contacts we might have.

I'm so sorry this happened. I will pray for your son and your family. I wish I could give you better news on your question but unfortunately with an active investigation you will get very little information from the police or the DA's office. Our legal system is set up that way and almost every defense attorney out there will use any and all legal (notice I did not say ethical or moral) means to get their clients off. As Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr is credited with saying "This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice."

Besides hiring your own attorney (very expensive usually) the only suggestions I have for you are to develop a relationship with the investigating officer(s) and/or the prosecuting DA. They will sometimes give more information if you have a face to face meeting with them. Also most cases become a matter of public record when filed with the courts. You should be able to get copies of the report from the court. Good luck and God bless

 Got a reply from Backdeck just now thanks! Just running into a blank wall as far as DA and arresting officers. I know it takes time but they are arraigning? the two in custody this afternoon and whether I should drive over and be there or not. Everyone was off for the weekend, night shift not here to talk to. Police have names of others but did not go pick up after being told where they are?
