carmel/monterey Thurs Dawn patrol

Is there any interest in hitting Thursday morning super early to catch some rockfish/lings and be off the water by 8 or so? I have gear, but no knowledge and work in Carmel Valley sometime around 8:30/45 so let me know if this works for anyone. Was thinking Butterfly house area or Carmel beach (heard there's been some halibut off the S. end of there).

Can't go, but I love that area.  Launch no problem, coming in can be a rush.

Be careful and catch fish.

But I wouldn't call teh launch a piece of cake...it's deceptive and probably one of the most dangerous beaches in CA.

Huh!  I never heard that before. You must be lauching someplace other than where I do.   Well, I guess it's rumors like that that keep it from being overfished.
