I never had trouble remebering what to bring until I got the AI, or maybe it's because I am getting old.  :smt005 Decided to make a checklist. Heck pilots use them. It is in Word so you can edit as desired. Enjoy.

I included a float plan from Sea Kayaker Magazine.

Excellent,

On your list I especially like the spare paddle, an extremely important thing if you need it, mine never leaves the hull.

OK, this beats my jinky-word document hands-down. I am going to Print/laminate this, punch a hole in the corner of it, tie a dry-erase marker to a string and tie it into the punched hole..

Thank you! :smt003
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Wow! You can afford salami?   All I get is peanut butter without the bread.

2 sandwiches.  I would also add a second knife.  I have my bad ass dive knife strapped to my leg.  In a pinch I know I will drop it, and then the small folding jobber in my PFD will be handy

+100 on 2nd knife. I have donated a number of knives to Poseidon. That's why every time I see knives for less than $5 at Big5, I always snatch em up.

Thanks Eugene. I actually carry 2 knives, a serrated knife on my PFD for cutting rope and a bait knife for gutting and gilling fish. I updated the checklist.
