The most common injuries OTW are small cuts and puncture wounds from rockfish wrestling. These injuries are minor and don't really need treatment but it can lead to getting blood on your equipment and in the water and depending on where you are fishing, that may not be a good thing.  :smt011 Personally bandaids don't work well because they fall off. Instead of of a first aid kit I bring a roll of flex wrap. It stops the bleeding and it doesn't fall off. I also use flex wrap for spooling spectra.

I did quite a bit of research to make the list and can say that it is the best one out there.

Nice, I'm going to print it too. Can't remember how many times I've forgot something.  People mention forgetting stuff in there reports a lot too, so I'm sure it will help every one.

Unfortunately I can't fit an extra paddle in my kayak. When ATD and I fish I toss one in his kayak. The other option is if I need one, there is always a Hobie guy around it seems. I think I might be able to use that unused one in a pinch. I like the flex wrap idea.

I got a cheap 4 piece paddle for about $50 which I keep in the front hatch I'm a large dry bag along with a pump and throw bag. The dry bag keeps it from sliding.

One time I broke my paddle at San Simeon and  the surf coming in was huge. The DFG was waiting for me and said he almost called the coast guard cause he didn't think I would make the landing.  Was pretty rough but I surfed it right up to the beach and he grabbed my kayak.

@Eddie, thanks for your list as well. Recently forgot a headlamp out on the water and it was a bit sketchy getting off the water in the evening despite there not being much in the way of boat traffic.

Awesome list Scott!!  I would only add a salami sandwich.....

Bushy

Wow! You can afford salami?   All I get is peanut butter without the bread.

Haha.  You get peanut butter?!  I have to chew regular peanuts and squash it in my mouth INTO peanut butter.
