Mad dashing through 299 probly isn't the best idea and I've been hearing of.some delays on the road.  Emrald forest camground is just a couple miles from Trinidad and then there's patricks point where I would probly stay if I were camping

I would love to make the trip, but booked up until July.   :smt010 after that I will be open for a mad dash, or a weekend trip, I have not been in big blue yet as well, but I have taken my 12' aluminum boat out of there many times.

You ought to stick around for Sunday as well, 5 knots 3 feet at 13 seconds. I'm good for whenever, 7 am sounds good.

I will be at Trinidad Sun. 6/16 and Mon. 6/17 (sans yak). I will be fishing charter boats 1/2 day both days. I would like to meet any NCKA members nearby after fishing to discuss topics near and dear to our hearts, kayaks and fishing!! I would like to check out your kayaks and generally pick your brains for information.

There is a red queen size futon with your name on it.  Bring big ice chest cause we may go get a halibut too.  All I need to do is replace the starter and we can take out my 21' Aquasport and catch em the easy way.

Looks like we're launching earlier, about 6. Sunrise is 5:45. There is a decent chance that salmon will be within a couple miles of the launch or so. Bring your salmon gear.

With the strong current, possible 15 knot winds and late tide off Humboldt Bay I might hit Trinidad Saturday too.  If so I'll see you guys out past the Whistle...

Crazy wind yesterday. At least no white caps in the mooring area today.

So what exactly are the rules for having rockfish gear on the boat once you have a salmon on the boat, are you not allowed to fish for rockfish with barbed hooks after you have a salmon?

Once a salmon is on board, you must fish barbless. Once a RCG complex fish is on board, you must stay shallower than 120'.

For this reason, salmon fishing comes first and be prepared to fish barbless all day.
