My orginal name was kmstorm64, kind of boring.  Being a big Penn reel fan , I learned on old Penn's from my Grandfather. I decided to change my name after I picked up a Left Handed Squidder, I converted it to a narrow version with both red and black side plates (find a set of matching left hand plates now a days).  So I liked the ring of Squidder K, and went with it.  I like to think the old man is out there with me in spirit.

This at least the 4th time we have done this and if it weren't Jeff who started it I would have said USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.  :smt005

My first yak was an OK Malibu 2 XL and we had a family fishing contest at Del Valle and the winning team could name the yak. My daughter and her friend caught a LMB and named the yak Great Bass 2. I always thought it was ironic because I hate freshwater bass fishing and suck at it for that reason. However, as the years passed by and I became obsessed with saltwater big game kayak fishing, the name became prophetic of things to come. So maybe you should choose a screen name not about who you are but about who you aspire to be. Ken always told me belief and confidence is 50% of fishing success. Dream on I say.

When I first joined the board last year, I just used my entire name... and then I quickly found out how boring that was and how creative some of the other handles were. Shortly after, I took my father in law fishing in Capitola and because it was his first time, we only stayed at SpongeBob. Sure enough he hooked on to one Ling Cod after another. We didn't have a game clip and the keeper Lings were too big to fit in the little Kirkland Detergent bucket I used to always use as my tackle box/milk crate/live well. So I found a piece of of twine/string and put it through the two Lings for my father in law. We were stringing those Lings. Funny thing was, he couldn't pronounce "Ling Cod" and he kept on saying "Lincoln" as in "Abraham Lincoln".

when I was in summer camp my mom made me a duffel bag that was embroidered "Sean is a Pisces" with two fish in felt applique. Pisces is a water sign & seems to fit well with my personality, and it shares some letters with my name..
When I was trying to come up with a studio name I wanted something that factored that into it. Since I didn't want to be confined to just one medium & be able to do whatever artwork I wanted, I came up with Piscean Artworks (slightly inspired by the now long gone Great Pacific Ironworks)

So, Piscean it is. I got asked the pronunciation enough times I finally put it in my sig.
pronounced "Pie-see-in"

The name I started with was kind of lame so I wanted to change it.  At the time, I was listening to Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water, one of my all time favorites so I just went with it.  Didn't really think about it until someone mentioned it, but it also suits me because I'm always smoking on the water.  :smt033

Pretty self explanatory. Little extreme now that I put some thought into it but its how I've always referred to fishin. To my buddies growing up it was "Dude, Lets go rip some lips". Its my passion, what I love to do every chance I get and will never change. That being said Im going to Oregon this weekend to rip some lips in the upper canyon of the Rogue River and then driving down the coast fishing every chance I get.

one could call it "modifying" it.  That would be a nice way of putting it.

My name is obvious.  I'm cash money cuz of my kickin' side bet win..of couirse this will change back in a week once the novelty wears off.  I'll probably do something stupid like name myself after a ridiculous movie character, a bowl of noodles or maybe my dream job as an asian american reality tv actor
