Andy,

I have to go over to the Angler's Choice Tackleshop in Capitola tomorrow to get some stuff...they usually have some of the sandab jigs (I know cuz Valentina usually makes me buy her one to play with  :smt005).

If you want I can pick you up a few. Just let me know.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

I think you're talking about the guy with the octobaits. Just look through the classfides and find his website linked to his avatar.

No pretty sure they were sand dabs... Jim do remember how much they were? The ones they sell here in Salinas are A little to pricey for me. I lost two already but would like to take some to shelter.

They usually have just the soft plastic for sale over there (definitely not $15 with a hook in it...not a good kid's toy  :smt005) , and then you could just use your own jig head...I can call you when I get to the store tomorrow and let you know if you want?

Jim

I came across one of these in the "natural" pattern.   Was thinking about tying one up if I loose all of my andy1976 jig heads.   I would eat this if I were a pacific halibut cruising around a sandy flat about 1.75 miles WNW of the launch :smt002

Hogy makes a sand dab that I have used. They tend to shred pretty easy but have good action and I have caught ling on them.

I also have the adventureswest.net sand dab that is linked above and I like they seem to have a better color pattern and feel more durable. They are a little more but you will be supporting a NCKA guy who is just launching his business.

Those are the ones I was greeting too. Seems like a nice bait.
