Hi all. trying to find exact coordinates for pigeon point (central management area). the website for fish and game states 37deg. 11N latitude?  does that start at the light house? can we fish just south of the light house in the cove on May 1st? don't know how to input this coordinate to google earth or gps. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

plugging in the coordinates on google earth seems like the point lies just northof the light house: seems like pigeon point will be open on May1st:  37°11', -122°23.9208'

confirmation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think it starts South of the light house. So if you launch and head toward that big rock, you should be fine.

Hey thanks Krusty, :smt006
Looking at the coordinates  37°11'. looks like it lands to the north of lighthouse. life is good and I are planning on going out next Weds. if weather allows. I plugged these coordinates into google earth:  37°11', -122°24.

dfg just states  37°11' north latitude. pigeon point.

That map is wrong! 37º 11' latitude converts to 37.183333 latitude, so it is actually further North.

There's a difference btwn N37.11 and N37 11 (decimal measurement vs standard) Yeah, it gets confusing...

And I should've mentioned, in that map the border is the green arrow and the A marker is just Pigeon Pt lighthouse. I drew a red line for the approximate border.
Remember most GPS that we use OTW are only accurate to 3m, so I try to stay at least 20-30ft on the legal side to make sure I'm legal.
