Please remember the potluck is a Bring Your Own Chair event. Bring an extra one if you can please.  Also - can I get several people to volunteer to show up a bit early with tables?  Last thing would be needing volunteers to help clean up around 9pm.

I'll have four tables, and I always enjoy cleaning up because it represents the end of a major buildup for me.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out.  :smt001

I've got an 8 x 8 and a 10 x 10 pop up and one 4 ft folding table.  I'll bring them up and you can make the call on them the day of.

If I'm still standing at 9:00 I'm happy to help clean up.

Thanks, Jeff.   :smt001

No thank you, Rob!   :smt005

Thanks, Pete.   :smt001

I'm pretty laissez faire about it - if people don't have chairs they'll sit on the ground.  If there aren't enough tables for food we'll come up with something...  But I'm not opposed to more organization of it.  Kirk / LilRiverMan has offered to organize this a bit - Thanks, Kirk!   :smt001

Honestly, I'm focused on getting all the schwag compiled accurately and handed out prior to the event, and then my complete focus is the check-in and completion of the scoreboards and prizes.  I'm all wrapped up in it, so please remind me to go get a plate of tacos around 630 if I've only had beer at that point!   :smt003

It's gonna rule.   :smt004

We have a great event here and it shows via how much it's grown. Eric already has his hands full. Lets show our appreciation by helping to make the potluck / party run smoothly.

We need a setup crew and a clean up crew. Lets get some ideas going on the best layout for food flow and fun
I can tally and repost a total of whose bringing what (tables extra chairs, pop ups etc) and and where you would like to help out
I was thinking - If everybody brings one side dish or casserol, and as we know some people bring more, that's about 200 dishes. Dishes three deep on six foot tables means 11 tables, plus 1-2 tables for meat products, plus a couple 4 x 4 card tables for drinks (non-achoholic).   A table, depending the policy, for alcoholic liquors and wine.  Another couple 4x 4 card tables for cups, plates, and utensils. Then, whatever tables are needed for the fish taco stand and maybe more tables for any specialty cooking shows people want to put on.
Prize table and awards table. Charity / literature / Demo or sponsors tables?
  Group dining tables ?
I'm assuming everyone brings their own chair. It did seem like we were short on chairs last year
Common coolers for beer, soda, and water.  Kegs?

The important thing is to minimze our leader's headaches so this event thrives into the future

Sounds like we need 10-12 full size tables for food and awards. Then maybe 4 more smaller tables for drinks, plates/utensils, and to display shirts & flags for the Gyotaku contest.
It is going to be difficult to find room for all of these tables plus 200+ people. So it is essential we maintain a good flow (all about the feng shui Chi).

But honestly, I was just looking for an excuse to re-post my blueprints for the GS5 Taco Shack hahaha!

Looks like we'll need 80 -100+ linear feet of tables. If we have more than we need for food etc, we can use them for dining tables.

Supplies
LoletaEric (4) tables
JWR  (1) 4 ft table (1) Pop up
Codzilla (3) 4 ft tables
Yakhopper (1) 6 ft table (1) Pop up + 36 qt water jug
RacinRob (1) 4 ft table
Scubaluis  (10) chairs + 125 qt group cooler

Setup
?

Cleanup

Pine Mountain Pete
Sailfish (Sonny)
Scubaluis
JWR ? If he's still standing
