Mooch's first and only sturgeon some years later.  The second we hit the beach at China Camp he gave his snare away to one of the other guys and swore to never sturgeon fish again... He was quite proud of is catch that day... I forget how many years it took for I'm to finally land a legal Dino... Maybe three or so.  Great memories!
I was with Da Mooch when he landed his sturg, he was screaming his head off after so I got the inspiration for a painting I gave him, it's my aviator, Joel's scream.

I will say that Joel battled cancer for many years and lived far longer than medical science would predict. The thing he gave us is his spirit, passion and eternal optimism. Cancer is the epic battle of a lifetime. Some win that battle, others do not. Those who survive are changed forever. Those who do not are remembered forever, but something really special came from Joel's battle with cancer, the time to say goodbye, and PIF. Like the movie, PIF was what Joel was all about and PIF became part of NCKA because of Porky and the A Hulls. So although Joel has left us, I hope that we will continue PIF in honor of Joel. There are so many people in need, I am sure we will find a cause to donate to.

Thanks, Scott, Karen and Molly

Back at BSS2, this was the very first and only time I have ever paddled a PB thanks to Mooch.. Mooch showed off his mad paddling skills and paddled with his Pooch up front..That was very kool and I digged it  a lot. I am very grateful to have cross paths and known the Kayak Fishing Legend... :smt010..Will miss your friendship, hospitality, and Smile Bud.Fish on Brotha

Some people live more in twenty years than others do in eighty. Its not the time that matters but the person and Joel was one of those great men that lived a fuller life than most ever will.

Joel always kept us safe
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.
