GS7 Gyotaku/fish printing - details pg2, signups-online deadline 5pm 5/15 pg4

Holy wow Brandi! This sounds incredibly awesome!
Do we need any tempera paint or supplies?

I will have supplies, but please feel free to bring your own paints and materials to print on.

Adult sizes  1 XXXL 2 XXL in white
Youth sizes  6 small and 7 medium in white
Child sizes 4 large in black

Excellent question Jason.  I would say best to gut the fish AFTER printing for a couple of reasons.  Primarily, the fish will hold its shape better resulting in a better print and you will avoid getting ink inside the cavity of the fish. 

I attached one of many gyotaku instructions to get an idea of printing your fish (gyotaku).

I hope there will be a party at the gyotaku tables!! That means lots and lots of prints will be made

Ordered 60 Gimme Shelter Gyotaku shirts today. They're white and printed on the front with the GS icon / yakfisher silhouette with Gimme Shelter arced over it and Gyotaku arced under it, all in magenta.

Thanks to Daniel / dpshim for his continued support (he donated to last years gyotaku event) and donating shirts to this years 2nd Annual Gyotaku Extravaganza!!

We are going to have all kinds of materials for everyone to print on: newsprint, donated t-shirts, 'Gimme Shelter - Gyotaku' shirts and flags!!  We will have acrylic paint as well as two different kinds of fabric ink. Very cool!  Of course, please feel free to bring your own paper, shirt and paint/inks.

This is going to be FUN!!

Will there be colored inks or just black ink? I assume white or lightler colored T would work best -?

Fabric inks I have black, brown, white, yellow, red and maybe blue
Acrylic paints I have red, green, white, blue, purple and yellow.

I will double check.

White shirts are being provided however their could be option for a color. Speak preferences before Sunday!!!

Here are the GS Gyotaku shirts - $10 donation gets you a shirt to print on (after perfecting your method on some paper...) and you'll be entered in a contest for a $100 prize at the potluck if you wear your creation for the party.

I am picking up gyotaku shirts on Monday.  I will post shirt sizes and quantities, provide a final flag count and get a sign up list started.
