I may have my team of helpers to help set up/tear down and assist during the event.  I will let you know if I need additional assistance. Once I have my Extravaganza Team Helpers lined up, I will be providing more information on how EVERYONE can come make fish prints!!

Another incentive to join us at GS7, the 2nd Annual Gyutaku Extravaganza!! 

Following the tourney on Saturday, somewhere in the campground 2:30pm to 4:30pm

Here's the details for the 2nd Annual Gyotaku Extravaganza!

The event will be held on Saturday May 18th following the GS7 tournament from 2:30pm -4:30pm somewhere in the campground. Location of the event will be announced at the mandatory meeting Friday evening.  This event is open to all ages attending GS7.  Children must have parental supervision to participate.  No exceptions.

Aileen, Julie and Charity will be helping me assist you this year (Thank you Ladies!!).  We will start setting up about 2pm to be ready for you at 2:30pm.  Please allow us to fully set up before you come over.

I will have at least two to three tables for your fish printing creativity.  Provided will be newsprint, tempura paint (blue, purple, red, yellow, black, red and white), fabric paint (black, white, red, yellow, blue and brown), brushes, and possibly a limited amount of donated white t-shirts.  Bringing your own t-shirt(s), paper, table cloth, chef’s apron, whatever material you want to print your fish on is highly encouraged.  The only thing you need to bring is a fish (we will not be providing fish) and the desire to make a print with it.

Once you have finished your fish print, we can take a photo of you and your print to share here on NCKA (optional) and hang your print to dry.

We will have a fish washing station to rinse the paint off your fish too.

BUT WAIT!  This year we are introducing two optional items for you to make fish prints. As this is an experimental venture, to help offset costs we are asking for nominal donations.
1)     We will have canvas material (approximate size 15” x 24”) and dowels for you to make a fish print flag. We are asking $5 donation.  But wait!!  There is more!! Bring your printed flag to the potluck and have an opportunity to win $50 for best fish print flag!  (@15-20 will be available)
2)     We will have white shirts logo’d with ‘Gimme Shelter Gyotaku’ (image to come) on one side, blank on the other for you to print your fish.  We are asking for a $10 donation for this shirt – but wait!!  There is even more!! WEAR your printed ‘Gimme Shelter Gyotaku’ t-shirt to the potluck and have an opportunity to win $100. for best Gimme Shelter t-shirt!  Sorry, the black GS7 shirts that come with your registration are not eligible – but you can print a fish on it if you want . (@50 shirts in variety of sizes will be available)
Who’s judging?!
I will randomly select 3-5 individuals at the potluck to be the judges. Those who want to have their prints judged will line up for judging (remember you are wearing your t-shirts or holding your flags) just before the GS7 awards. To allow time for the judges to determine who is the respective winners are, winners will be announced following the tournament awards.

Limited quanities of shirts/sizes and flags, sign up sheet (updated as people make requests) on page 4. Donations can be made Friday campsite #80 till 4pm, after mandatory meeting till 8:30pm and Saturday @1:30 till 3:00pm.  Exact donation amount is appreciated - thank you!!
