I just wanted to say thanks to our moderators.  I recently posted on another forum and got flamed for posting in the wrong sub forum by at least six a-holes.  I know I shouldn't have, but I responded with a little venom of my own (nothing too strong).  Instead of the mod helping out, moving the thread, or apologizing for the response by his "A-hole Brothers".  I got a scolding about my attitude and was warned about being banned.  I PM'ed him and his excuse was that they were getting frustrated with newbies posting old questions and not following rules for posting.  I told him they needed to find something more worthwhile to get frustrated about.

This forum is never like that.  Yes, I know we get the same questions and often we refer the newbie to the FAQ's, or tell them to use the search feature.  I have never seen anyone get Flamed for making a simple mistake or asking a dumb question.  I think our moderators and all who post here are cut from a better cloth!

Yeah, this site is pretty cool...lots of level heads running things and we do appreciate that..Thank You

I was banned (many years ago) on another site with a name similar to F...S...Fish'n for not introducing myself within an hour of signing up.
Years ago my brother was the fastest to ever be banned on NCKA ....less than an hour if I remember it correctly..

Haha love it!! I also love what you have done with nwka as far as the introductions. I have yet to do mine but for those that don't know it's setup so once you register you are locked out of all boards except the intro board after you post your intro the other boards open up.
Thanks to all the mods and admin for all your hard work and fairness with out judgment

Yeah, I've been meaning to set that up here, but have been distracted with other things.  I'll get to it soon.  It's been a nice feature as the newbies have to introduce themselves, and you know how welcoming these communities are!

I think one reason this site is so polite to each other is because sooner or later, we will meet up in person.  And there's FOOD at the gatherings too!  Ha!  Both good reasons to stay civil.

The peeps on here make it very easy for the most part.
It was said many many years ago, "We police our own".
I often wonder how much better society would be if it worked the way we do.

I love it when new guys ask old questions... It makes for active threads.  I often wonder if new guys feel a little overwhelmed by the avalanche of info they receive when asking what are seemingly simple questions.  I remember being that guy and being really happy to have been turned on to this site.

If that's the case, I nominate Sonny to be the Welcoming Committee Moderator! He pretty much does the job already anyway  :smt002
