Because our tournament was started as a way to help one of our kayak fishing families in need, not just as money for the ACS I feel that it would be appropriate to return to our roots. I do have a commitment to give the proceeds to the ACS, but I think a little skimming off the top would be OK. I will take $2.00 from each entry and donate it to the Chefstephano fund. I hope we can get more of you folks down here to support the event.

Dino Adamou of Allorto, Inc the importer of the Macski Kingfisher kayak has donated another kayak to our tournament. Below is a cut from thier brochure about the boat and a photo of one of our locals using it in La Jolla.

The no nonsense design is complete: from bow to stern this is nothing more or less than a serious fishing machine. Specs: 14-1/2 ft. x 25 in. Capacity "348 lb. plus catch" (don’t you just love that). Made from Fiberglass by the leading manufacturer of surfboards in South Africa. This is a craft designed to launch and return in almost any surf condition. Every element is focused on fishing

This kayak will be given away in a separate raffle with all proceeds going to the Chef Stephano fund, to help defer some of his medical bills.

Wow that's very good of you Jim. Can't make it this year but I will try for next. Sounds like a double positive a good time for a good cause. Lots of positive energy. Nice looking Kayak.
