Nothing like walking in to the shop to find a new PA 12 and a pile of goodies to make your afternoon. Im starting this bad boy tomarrow morning. Anchor Trolly, 3.5lb anchor, pivot rod hold, Elite 4 FF on ram mount, Richie compass, Headwaters custom stand assist handle, Mirage Leash, Matching PFD, and Im sure Im forgetting something. I'll post pic's of the build and final out come this weekend.

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I always thought that rigging up and "making it your own" was a big part of the fun, but I don't think I'd complain if I had a brand new and decked out PA handed to me  :smt044

Hey jb, that's a lot of mods. I highly recommended u taking it out first to get an idea of where u want to drill your holes if u haven't already.

This is a customers kayak I will be building for him. We had a nice long meeting today and went over lots of different ideas. I'm sure he is going to love his new fishing machine.

You should do a video of how you do it. I love to see ideas.

we tried to do a video but with two of us in the shop we were constantly busy with customers. videos will have to be filmed on days we are closed. heres some finished shots. I made a custom Stand assist strap and mount, and Im pumped on how the battery tray came out. the back 8" hatch is the perfect spot for a battery. out of the way, easy to access, and stays pretty dry.

I have an idea for a Cuda hatch bucket. Not sure it will work but I'll let you know.

Nice job, looks like I had better stop by the shop so I can fix my yak up a little bit better.
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Love the battery tray idea.  Really cool.  One thing I'm sure you already know, but I will throw it out there: Ram Mounts has a part that replaces the factory mount for the elites with a ball that has the part that inserts to the back of the unit built on to it.  Super clean and leaves less bulk on the kayak when you detach the unit for storage.

http://www.rammount.com/NewProducts/lowanceelitemarkadaptermount/tabid/3929/Default.aspx

There is a 1.5" ball "heavy" version.  It also comes in a 1" version which is much better for the smaller units IMO.
Never trust a man that doesnt like to fish...
