Philosophical Question

Nothing is, everything is becoming.

Well, that depends: is the ship registered in CA? 

is the glass half full or half empty?

were the american parts replaced by chinese parts?

The ship is the same. Just the same as I have replaced every cell in my body. The same Randall that was born 54 yrs ago but completely different.

If Hull number is the same and Registration number is the same. By law it should be the same boat. Being an organ recipient. Double lungs from one person. A kidney from another person Am I the same person. But one better I thought of after those surgeries.
If a person has a brain transplant who is the person? Does the body make the person. Or the brain? Can't wait for that answer.     

Do to the fact that you posed this as a philosophical question...

The ship has undertaken a journey... experiences have changed it along the way, some for the better, some for the worse.  As we go through life, we change based on our choices and experiences, but we will always be ourselves, as long as we remain in control of those choices.  So, the ship is still the same ship... just different than the people in its home port may remember it.

Would it not be better to use the parts to build a second ship?

technically the glass is full of half water, half air so never really empty
