I contacted Piscean awhile back and asked if he could create a piece of art to memorialize two very important fish for me: My first 40 inch Lingzilla, and my (then) State Record Monkeyface Prickleback.

I showed him videos and pics of both of the fish and explained that I was hoping to capture the image of the Ling from above because that was how I was looking at it when I shot it.

These are the reports on the two fish:

Met up with Sean at the HomeDepot on Saturday (with my two crazy daughters who were enjoying the heck out of being pushed around in the shopping cart "car") and he gave me the piece.

Excellent work, and it really captures the spirit of these two fish. On the back he burned the words "BigJim's Best 2012".

LOVE IT!!!!

It will have a home here in my office so I can see it every single day, and can look at it when I need to get away from the stress of work.

THANK YOU Sean!!!

Sincerely,

Jim

ps...also picked up the DOTY Champion Plaque. Fuzz is a lucky man to get to hang that wonderful piece of art on his wall for a year!  :smt003 :smt004 :smt003

I'm so glad you are happy with it Jim, it was a fun design project for me (I've never used video stills as inspiration before)!

My only regret is that I couldn't build it bigger! I think it would be great in about 4'x6' size.

That came out really cool.  I like the unique angle of view of the Ling.
