One thing I appreciate about NCKA is the DIY ingenuity of the group. I know there are several really well organized minitruck campers on here. I was looking for away to hang my rod(s) in the top of my shell. I tried epoxying 3/4" PVC to the ceiling, and sliding the rods in.. but with vibration and temperature, the Epoxy didn't hold very well. Also, I wasn't too keen on the vibration of PVC against the rod.  I've been pondering it, but someone has already solved this question, if you'll just share the solution.

After that, I need find someone who knows how to bend plexigass to replace a window in that shell. Heat gun? Vacuum-form?  Local Tap's said they don't do it... anyone tried it?

U have something really close to the picture above, but find that any rods I try to hang in usually work them sels out the back and end up falling out completly.  I've tried closing the velcro loops donw onto the rods, but that didn't seem to help.  I also have these gizmos that stick to the windows, their like clamshells, hinged at the bottom, clasp at top and 3 rods fit inside (like a gun rack)
Lately (Being the lazy cus I am) I just toss them on the passanger side bed rail, and deal with the tangle mess at my destination.

I use two wooden rods across the truck bed to keep my rods and paddle up above the rest of my gear.  Works well for rods that are under 7'.
I may upgrade to adjustable shower curtain rods in the future.

Hang a rope or bungee across the width of the shell. One by the tailgate and one further forward.

If you have rack mounts that are bolted through the shell you can use those as attachment points.

I'm considering this too. I think I'll put fastex buckles on short loops at the mounting points, then two straps with matching buckles on each end. I could remove the straps easily then if i was hauling something taller that came close to the shell roof. Just an idea.

All of my rods are held up by a single zip tie in a loop, on the rear passengerside Oh $hit handle.  More than 5 rods, I add another zip tie loop and continue stacking them heaviest to lightest.

Made this with some adjustable straps.
One in the front and one in the back.
They are both adjustable so I can loosen them to slide the rods in easier then tighten them to keep the rods up and out of the way.
The velcro keeps everything in their place.
I carry my spear guns on it too.

If you have windows this may be an option as well - Inno Space Saver Universal Window Mount Interior Fishing Rod Holder (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TTQBM6/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I installed it inside my Xterra (for some reason mine lacks cargo hooks!) and I have been very happy with rods up to 7ft. I got tired of my rods making noise in the car and I don't like putting them in a ski rack for long trips. Plus, I can't use the ski rack with two kayaks on top anyway!
