In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

NOOOOOOOO HWAY!!!!!

Good placement too.  its on the way to Monterey AND near all the south bay sweetwater lakes.
depending on the hours, this might sign the death warrant for any mom/pop tackle store that does not offer live bait + cute/youthful co-eds staff.
Bye bye Coyote. . . .

FINALLY! My kids may be more excited. They didn't want to leave the Tracy location last summer. We made a day of it. Even the wife agreed it was fun.....

Crap, I'm screwed!!!!!

I hope Coyote survives!  While they don't have a cute and youthful co-ed staff, they are the only local place to purchase minnows.

Makes sense. Wasn't interested in driving all the way to Manteca. But I agree it may drive places like Coyote out of business. Thought Cabelas should have opened in the Bay Area.

Just heard about this earlier today.

Though its exciting to finally see a Bass Pro Shops open around here, sadly it will definitely impact a lot of small business owners around here like others mentioned.

Well, as cool as that sounds, I have NO idea how they plan on accomodating a BPS at 87&85.  I've lived in that area most of my life, and my father still does.  As congested as it is now, I can only imagine what it will be like in two years.   :smt009  Why not somewhere like Gilroy??

My thoughts exactly al, you can't get into that area after 3pm without major traffic on a regular weekday, and it just gets worse during the holiday shopping season.  Sounds like a nightmare.

That is going to hurt a lot of our sponsors shops.

They should have open in Vallejo, many buildings and cheaper Real Estate and no competition!

i hope cabelas never come to ca,not interested in paying the tax.cause not all stores carry some of the stuff you need.so now your paying shipping and tax and other fees.like the ugly stik tiger lite rod I had to order.69$ + shipping+oversize fee+ tax=91$
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Traffic coming up the 85 through there sucks too. I would be so stoked if it was in Gilroy. Or Monterey for that matter. Because there aren't any decent shops nearby. But there are already a few good tackle shops in the south bay area.
