Welcome to the  low to the water fishing excitement! Your rig looks great. Take advice with a grain of salt. Sometimes its worth exactly what you pay for it........................ nothing. I seen your fish on the other forums and cant wait for your first koke report. I wanna go. I know you have the knowledge. Have fun most of all. Craig.

fresh water vs saltwater= two totally different realms. Quit comparing them side by side.

The PA looks awesome for chilling on the freshwater.
Just be aware of the limitations it has (just like any model of yak) and be prepared.

Once your yak is upside down and you're in the water it's pretty much all the same.

An unnoticed boat wake in a cold ass lake can flip a 'yak just as easy as a wave in the cold ass ocean...

Point taken. self rescues should be practiced regardless of yak model.

I was referring to stuff getting ripped off the deck in a beach launch, which seldom happens on a lake (but i spose it could)
To each their own......but you've seen my yak :smt002

Normally I'd consider the placement of your rodholders, FF, and downrigger to be a hindrance when reboarding your yak [if it ever capsized].
BUT...after seeing a few people reboard the PA from behind (self rescue doggystyle?), I don't think your rail-mounted gear will be an issue.
Your setup looks sweet. I might have to test drive one of these PA's someday.

This! I had honestly not seen the "rear entry" method until just a few moments ago, and was basing my comments on the assumption that one would be trying to climb over all of that stuff upon re-entry.

Either way, I guess the bottom line is to practice self rescue regularly like others have mentioned.

Thanks guys for the all the responces. For sure no offense taken. For me my yak/boat is just going to be a fresh water craft. When I fish the salt or any big water I'll fish out my Fish Rite or fish a party boat.  :smt001

Looking forward to meeting all the members here at any hook ups or camp outs.  :smt006

That will change real quick. Once you get the hang of landing fish on the yak, you'll want to hit the salt.
Your boat looks good, I would clean up that wiring job a little thoe :smt044

Tell the truth, I was kind of impressed on Adventure Sport's rigging job.  Looks pretty clean in the photos.

that is the opposite type of boat than I use, but I'd like to use one for that lake in Skpro's photo.
