I dropped my new Hobie Pro Angler off at Adventure Sports here in Sacto to have it rigged and picked it up today. I went with the Yak Attack gear track on both sides to mount my Elite 4 and Scotty Rod holders along with my down rigger. I also had them install the Hobie H bar and Hobie anchor trolley. I think everything is done and looks good. I think next week I'll spend both my days off on the water and getting use to her.

 Here is some pics

No offense, but if for some strange reason you were to ever flip that you'd never get it righted.

I agree. IMO, too much clutter on the deck.

its not a kayak so it wont flip. :smt005 just kidding.i never thought about that.i was also thinking about putting a down rigger on too, but i also fish some salt. so maybe i wont add a down rigger.the pa looks great though.all the bells and whistle
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Fresh water yak fishing = lots to gear on the top deck.
Saltwater yak fishing = minimal gear on the top deck.  We know what a surf launch and yard sale means.  :smt003

Looks good and don't let the haters bum you out.  All your gear is mounted so it's not going anywhere in a flip.  The PA is a great yak and they are easy to flip back.  I practiced a few times last summer.  The H-Bar really gives you leverage.  The thing flips back almost too easy using the bar so be careful.  Also, if you do bail, get back on from the rear.   The back is big, flat and very stable.  Just pull yourself up using the back bar, then stand up and step over the seat.  Easy Peasy.

Nobody is a hater.  The others that commented mainly do ocean fishing and are relating when conditions turn like this.

no "haters" here. just an honest opinion and concern for safety

Ever see a kayak hit the shore line, upside down will all that mounted gear? I have and those things will rip off. Last time I was in La Jolla, 2 fully loaded PA's flipped on the surf and had some serious deck damage. One of the guys back rest seat ripped off. (and yes, I have demod a PA before) IMO, if the surf landing gets bad, I would store everything in the hatch...but that's just me.

For flat water fishing, I'm all for it.

Again, this just my honest opinion - if anyone is offended, PM me and we can continue the discussion.

....oh and another friendly tip. Try to keep the area in between your knees free of clutter -  Cause when you catch your trophy fish (Halibut,White Sea Bass,sturgeon....) you'll need that area to dispatch and secure your big fish.

...just my 2 cents

Voices of experience!  How you choose to listen to them will define your outcome if you find yourself in worsning conditions.

Wow, you try to give somebody some safety advice and get called a hater by some noob?

"Oh, never mind the safety advice being given to you from way more experienced kayak anglers than me. They're just haters, bro"

Stay classy, man.
