Looking for someone to record the Super Bowl at the 2 hour setting, one tape per half. I would like to watch the game again later, at a leisurely pace.

I think a VCR is what the cavemen used to make fire with.

Dang, wish I saw this sooner Howard. I recorded the game onto my DVR and normally I w/b able to transfer to a DVD for you (to watch on computer if you don't have dvd player). But...I deleted all 5 hours from my DVR as soon as the game ended.  :smt010

No... You need a special DVD/Recorder VCR combo unit, like this one: http://reviews.cnet.com/video-players-and-recorders/govideo-vr3930/4505-6463_7-30710161.html?tag=txt  There are places that will do the conversion for you though.

Will see if I can help you out there. I have a Dazzle converter that supposedly converts from video cameras/recorders to digital. Will let you know when I retrieve the unit from a friend.

You would simply plug the VCR into the Dazzle and download the video to your computer, then burn a CD/DVD. At least, in theory, it's simple. But things like this never work out how they're supposed to.
