No one will need to pay extra for the crapper, That's covered by entry monies...
Please obey the signage and don't fish the restricted zone.  As the legal organizer with no $$ for an attorney, I don't need the worry or hassle of people breaking the rules set by Port of Sac and Homeland Security.

Cheers
Jim

Oh boy, now I'm gonna have to really pull up my sleeves for this one and pull some tricks out of my bag. Well now that the docks are off, I'm just curious how are we gonna really enforce that rule with 50+ yaks otw? Honor system or whisteblowing? No worries coming from me trust me, but if rules are gonna be set, then rules need to be followed and enforced. Just saying. Wouldn't want guys with fish allowed to weigh-in after check in time now would we. ;)

Oh, and you count me in for that side bet!

Ricci, I am not going to be at the ramp with binoculars watching.  I must assume that everyone is playing by the rules.  I  will DQ anyone anonymously reported as fishing next to the docks :(  I hate to be this way, but I cant  police...
though, be mindful that I am a somewhat suspicious guy and hate it when ppl DQ others so they can win....

BTW, this rule sucks as much for me as you.

now just catch some fish fairly and take these prizes off my hands will ya.  ;)

p.s.  use jumbo minnows for stripers, medium minnows for black bass and worms for bluegill.  You're on your own for salmon...

I never measured how far I can cast. I guess I'll have to figure how many cranks on the reel for 100 ft. Then use a cast and count to make sure I don't get too close. Does anyone know, are the last set of docks off limit as well? I don't remember if they are posted too. I've never been over by the boat club area. What areas are ok to fish over there?

the docks on the turning basin and closest to the launch are the ones we are talking about.

As far as judging distance, use a tape this week and learn what 100 feet looks like.  Its a lot less than you might think (like 7 average fishing kayaks nose to tali).  If you are using a casting rod without a revo reel, 50 feet is the average cast (I know some cast further), a revo or spinning reel cast 1/2 ounce about 70 feet in my experience.

Hope that helps

I can cast my casting reels with a Senko unweighted easily 100'. A deep diving crank a lot more. Spinning reel I could double it.

If there is not photo, then it never happened; hope the anonymous reporters have photos to back up there allegation(s).

If not, I am throwing Rob, Adam, Ricci and all you Sac boys under the bus!! :smt044 :smt044

100ft is about 1/3 of the way across... We will all play it strait. Cameras will be everywhere :smt003
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

You would need video. We have to stay back 100 ft. Doesn't say you can't cast closer. Also just because someone is photographed close doesn't show they caught a fish there. Like I said earlier it will prove difficult to enforce. I think the honor system is all we have. Luckily that is all we need at NCKA.

hmmm, let me think about this:

Option 1: Pay $120 in fuel to bring my motorhome and crap in luxury, or

Option 2: Pay $5 to crap with my buddies  :smt003, or

Option 3: Pay $0 and crap through my Mirage Drive opening when noone is looking.

Now, that's a tough one...

Option 3 is always my favorite when ever I'm on the water.
