Ok I did. The gate does close at 9:00 pm. There is room to park outside the gate and walk in. She said AT&T cell service works so you could call someone inside to come drive you in if camp is far from the gate.

Raced up to Berry for the AOTY Awards...got there right at five. Congratulated the winners and hung with the ever growing crowd for a bit and just got home. Looks like they are having fun...wished I could have stayed.

Had a great time!
As always, it was fun to see everyone even if I didn't really catch any fish (watch, one of these days I will shock everyone by coming in with an amazing number of fish by using some sort of magical fishing abilities, haha).
'Just paddling around was worth it, chatting with friends - I wish we could have gotten up there earlier!

I am already looking forward to New Melones.......

BIg thanks to Jim, Ricci, and everyone else who had a part in putting this together this year.. As always, it was a great time to just hang with family, do what we all love to do(fish), and just enjoy life. I never caught a king or koke before sunday, so with me landing both species within an hour apart first thing in the morning i say is a lot of luck.. I was just in the right place at the right time. Cant wait till next year.. i will post up my pictures and the video of me landing the big king later. Thanks again everyone. :smt001
