Save This Date For The 2013 Kayakfishing.com/RTM Kayaks Fall Classic-October 12

Saturday October 12th, 2013 at Ocean Cove.

The Fall Classic will be held 2 weeks earlier than last year with a building moon and fishy tides.  Trencherman's Feast Friday pm
Gerard's Paella after the awards Saturday.
 
Registration will commence sometime before June at Kayakfishing.com.
 
There will be a (voluntary) list of registrants at the Tournament Page this year.
The rules remain the same.

RTM Kayaks highlight the top prizes with Lowrance Electronics and most of last years sponsors plus a whole lot more.

We'll update the Tournament Page down the road.  In the meantime, the 2012 Page at http://www.kayakfishing.com/events has good info and tournament rules.

We will also be onsite Thursday at noon and doubling the size of the tournament area for reseved and overflow campers.  A handful of guests were very happy with vacation rentals they found closeby.  There's a whole bed and breakfast and inn thing going on at Ocean Cove and Fort Ross.

Looking forward to another fun event!

Just want to ask do we need a sponsors for this event? I may fish one before. So If I know now I will have a bigger chance to make the event.

We're pretty excited and getting all the sponsor and event stuff done now. 9 montrhs isn't that far away! The Tournament Page should have registration, reserved camping, extra meals, list of registrees, shirt size and a release, all in one seamless form.

T-shirts-A few guys (mostly late registrations) had to settle for off-sizes last year.  If you didn't get a 2012 shirt, I have a stack of mediums.  We are considering, instead of a T-shirt every year, to mix up the garments.  2012 was a pocket T.  This year a long sleeve T-shirt (without a pocket) and next year a windbreaker or hoodie.

Food-Michelle wants to have the big feed Friday (she wants to line up half a dozen Webers and cook prime rib) and Gerards Paella Saturday after fishing and awards.  I'm a little concerned about a big dinner the night before fishing and thought I'd put it out to y`all.  Thanks in advance for some feedback.

That is the same date as the Recreational Fishing Alliance Randy Fry Memorial Spearfishing Tourney.  They always do the Second Saturday in October.

Since I missed both the Gerard's Paella and Jack's fried Pealla balls last year....hummmm

In any case it's great your getting the word out early.  I like the events where you can plan a year in advance.
