Good! Another crisis over & no quitting.  :thumright:

How about a C-lake tourney in March? No sponsors, no prizes, no trophies. Just who places, in what order, & on a Sunday so Eric can fish & put 100% effort into it.

That is a great idea, make it a Fish and Chill. :fishing2  :fishing1  :chef:  :beer3

Kind of,
Kat and I had a discussion and she expressed some concerns about how kayakers have been treated in our Sacramento location.I suggested she get the info from the source.

I'm down for a Clearlake FnC, sans prizes/swag! Although I think a perpetual trophy might be cool... a golden milk crate perhaps?

Yea!!! let's start melting down our old jewelry!  :smt003

Eric - can we talk you into just one Yakhopper event this year? Not four just one. Just to keep the annual aspect alive.  Pretty Please !
Doesn't have to be FW sponsored, no swag bags,. We make it a potluck so you don't have to bring food. It could be down your way so you don't have to travel far.  A new venue like Nacimiento, Millerton or the SJ river if we can figure out launch, landing logistics ? I would even come up with one of the three prizes like a new Wheelez,

Why ? Other than keeping the annual aspect alive, Davenport was my very first kayak fishing Tournament. Big rollers and lousy fishing, but a great experience. Since then three ARW's and a couple Tiki.  My biggest kayak fish, and sliegh ride, be it a 30# Bat Ray, was at ARW. The last event Tiki - as you know I did fairly well. Just the  thrill of being in the running is great! I would hate to see that be the last Yakhopper event.

There is plenty of time to relax and rejuvenate before making an annoucement.
Please consider it

Sincerely
Kirk

Fish and chill... same thing... or Add a prize aspect and call it the Lil' river tourney... We can all do it if we want. That is why Jim/rockfish formed Fresh cats. Insurance is the key here... Call Jim and see if he can add your event to the roster. Eric can just come play in your pond :smt005
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

I was thinking more along the lines of Krylon  :smt001
What about having a "Yakhopper" event,  but all Eric has to do is tell us what date he wants to have it on and a few of us can take care of organizing the FnC?  What say you Eric?

SJR would be difficult at best.
Mostly private access and no parking for many anglers.

There has been a lot of suport for these events though ...

Let me think on this for a while ....

Lots of options near Fresno too. :-)  If that makes it any easier to convince you.
Just off the top of my head, there's Pine Flat, Millerton, Hensley, Eastman, Shaver, Huntington/Florence/Edison, Courtright, Wishon, Bass Lake....

I was thinking the same thing for silver lake, Eric seems to like it up there for fond fishing memories. Maybe a trout FNC there or a lake of his choice closer to home. Wishon or courtright might be fun.
