Come on out! It's time to play. It's time for TROUT Bass and STRIPER. Let go of the hand brake!

" It meets rigid IPX8 submersibility standards and is backed by a comprehensive waterproof warranty so, while it doesn’t float, it’ll more than handle most onboard chores."

Just me.  I'd save my $$ for a floating model. I know somebody who found out the hard way.   :smt044
Great deal though!

Ok I've had this model for over a year and I'm on my 4th one, if that means anything. Good warranty

They all leak.  IPX7 is the usual rating on most radios.  IPX8 is a higher rating and the one on this unit.   Still, don't trust any radio not to leak over the long haul.

So here is how I keep my non floating standard horizon VHF with me. I have a zip pocket on my PFD and leave a Mirror Signalling device, whistle, cliff bars, chap stick, Disposable gloves, jerky ect... in it. clip Radio to shoulder strap
