if one tries to hit you, just shake its hand and it will turn around and go the other way

Seems to have passed us now, hardly the storm they were predicting.  Had a couple brown outs, but so far that is it.  Scanning the river to see if any steelhead are coming up my way  :smt002

It was hairy for about an hour in the Doon, but I think the worst is over. It's sunny & windy in town, but the harbor has 40mph winds.

The real storms should hit in about 24 hours, with rainfall estimates of 10"-12" for the SC mountains by Sunday night.
Should make for an interesting weekend and lighted boat parade.

I'm standing by with firewood stocked, flashlight & lanterns ready, freezer stocked with ice, and everything tidied up. Glad I got the window in my studio to fill the 20x30" hole I cut over the weekend :smt044

hatches battened! :smt003

Blue skies and light wind right now in Rose-town.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Cold and rainy days like this are a good time to either clean up the house a bit or to check out the new Diablo 3 game. Hmm! Choices...choices...

Darn ... was going to pimp the kayak for the lighted boat parade in S.C.  Seems earlier this year....  With rain, I'm sure it will be a LOW turnout if they even hold it.  Next year!

Oh, they WILL hold it. Not sure of the turnout though.
& it is indeed early this year, but I think that is just the luck of the calendar.

I've got my xtratuffs & hellies ready in case it turns out to be pouring.

In the south bay we had a couple brief showers that reduced to ominous clouds with occasional bursts of sunlight.....I hope this thing picks up some steam!

Sunny & clear skies here at Zanker rd in San Jose.  Hopefully my commute to Felton won't be affected beyond the norm.

Local news said it was called off this year due to pending weather.  Hear something different?
