Ive looked at several threads but not finding what Im looking for. Im probly gonna get the BW Lowrance Mark 4 for $199. They make a scupper mount kit for $50. Any threads to look at that show a do-it-yourself mount for that as well as the head unit? I want it in the water so no glue or foam mounts inside the hull.

got a new Mk4, installed it direct to the front wall of the FF cubby. Used the supplied wood style screws and stripped one of the screws in the plastic. Will have to go all the way thru with nut n bolt at some point.  Used the Lowrance scupper mount. Used a 3cell Lipo RC car battery that I already had. Weighs 10oz or so. Temp mount for battery and wires is in the removable tray under the  rod pod.

Im not happy with the way the Transducer fits in the OK scupper recess on the bottom. It hangs out 1/2" or more and is going to drag and I can see damoge in the future from launching/landing/loading. The scupper mount is easy to use and fits the vertical hole well, just not happy with the Lowrance to OK scupper recess on the bottom.

The FF worked real good for me tho. First time out caught my PB bass in 2hrs, 6.2lbs 22".
