stanford has an app now that track all 120 sharks they have tagged on our coast its pretty cool.. shark net

There's 3 sharks off Ano Nuevo right now: Showtime, Mr Burns, and Swell. There's a couple up by Pt Reyes and Tomales too.

Glad I don't have a smart phone or I would probably be checking it along with the weather and swell.   

We need an app that sets of the phone's alarm when the shark is closer than 1/2 mile. I think the tags only send the position when the shark surfaces so we need some real time tracking. I would buy a smart phone just for that feature. Lol.  :smt044

I think that is just one more thing to take your mind off of fishing.  I know that every time I go in the ocean there are sharks swimming around under me.  I don't need to watch another screen and possibly miss the bite.  Just my thoughts
