I'm up for a tuna trip, but I'd prefer to work my way onboard and pay less cash..trying to buy my first yak and all but the tuna are so tempting 
As in, I'll swab yer decks, gut the fish, rig the lines, give you a shoulder rub, make you a sammich, etc.

Guys, I don't plan to take my PB out.  Not ready for that yet.  Wish I could though.

Thinking of paying around $200-300 per person.  A 3 pac with Capt. Khanh cost $300.  Don't have all the details yet but he will call me if he is going this coming Sunday.  Chris in Monterey has it $200 per person but it is a 6 pac.

Tuna fishing aint cheap and beware its addicting.  I went on my neighbors boat and we burned $500 in fuel in 2 days plus $150 in fuel to tow boat up north plus $140 for room plus food$.  Still worth it though. 

Kayak fishing ain't cheap either... but i hear ya...

It looks like the charter maxes out at 12 for $200 a pop. If you really want to catch one, Khanh is the way to go. He's been fishing the tuna bite on various other boats and his network is unmatched (people will call him to relay numbers on the hot bite and will fish the entire day to make sure that you're arms are tired).

Thanks Hai, I'll check it out.  I like to go with Khanh too.  Also he only puts 3 on the boat for $300.  I believe he is going out tomorrow and thursday but he's already booked.  If we can get 3 guys for sure for Sunday and the weather cooperates I can call him asap so we can book it.  So who is for sure to go for Sunday?

Yup, it's looking that way.  Me and Jonathan so far on the next one that opens up too.  I'll tell Khanh that we have 3 so far interested in the next opening.
