I'm down for the following Sunday (8/26) or Monday (8/27) if the weather is fair.

I wish I could join you guys but I will be in SD this weekend with the Sea Samurai, looking to hookup to some yellows. I am definitely down for any tuna trip after next week.

Me and Jonathan so far on the next one that opens up too.  I'll tell Khanh that we have 3 so far interested in the next opening.
Please count me in. Depending on which day you guys decides to go, I would love to take a day off and give it a shot if I don't have a meeting that day.
Does Khang provide gears or we need to bring our own? I have no tuna gear.

thx,
ernest

Captain Khanh provides all the gear and tackle.  Not sure if I'm going again though.  Just talked to Khanh and he said it might be blowing next week and he might not go out.  I went yesterday with Chris fishing charters from Monterey.  12 max people on the boat.  Only 6 can troll at a time so you play round robin but it was okay.  Gave me time to rest.  If it's like yesterday, you are back to trolling every 15 min.  Jigging did not seem to work as well but a few caught some.  They will let you start jigging as soon as the boat stops while the previous trollers bring in their tuna.  So it's good to have 2 rods.  One for trolling and one for jigging.

You don't really need a tuna rod/reel but it does help fight the big ones.  Several guys did fine with lingcod type setup.

FYI, the Kahuna is also having tuna trips. They had excellent numbers yesterday with a bonus of 2 yellowtails up to 30#.

I'd also be very very  interested in going if you guys need another guy and are going on a weekend.

I think I gave you my cell for hooking up to ab dive one time john but if you don't have it its 530 574 5502. Just give me a heads up 2 or 3 days in advance and I will be there

Chris fishing is going out this friday for tuna - $200.  This is a12 pac.  6 trolling at a time.  Not as bad as it seems.
Call them asap if you guys are interested.  Them slots go fast.  HamachiJohn already signed up.

http://www.chrissfishing.com/   (831) 375-5951 for Reservation.

Also, Captain Khahn Tran is going out on Sunday, $300 - need 2 more guys. for a 3 pac.  510-552-2250.  If you go with Khahn tell him that you are with me.  He knows me by Rey Santos.

You will need 2 tuna setups.  1 for trolling and 1 for jigging while the boat has stopped.

Just called.  Velocity is all booked up for thursday but they can put you on a list for the next trip.  $250 for 7hrs of trolling.  14pac on a 60ft boat.

The $250 is for a 14 hour day.  I think they normally do $225 for a 12 hour day.

Fingers crossed Bocci finds some bait before Thursday.
