yea, so i don't notice it too much when i get out of the water, but my dad drove with the window down the entire way home, (after not wanted to get in the car), because apparently i reek beyond reckoning when i get out of my open cell suit. apparently it stinks up the garage as well
anyone else have this problem or do i just have a problem haha :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

I have the same problem. Probably my dad's biggest pet peeve about me diving.

Eventually I'm going to invest in a custom suit with a pissette. No pee = warmer and no stink. I've been considering having one installed on my current suit, but I don't know how good of an investment that would be in terms of how much life the suit may have left.

I second that. The stuff works well.

cough, cough, gag, wretch, cough, sneeze... :smt078

I have been looking through the garage trying to figure out what died. Turned out to be his wet suit.  We tried sink the stink and it now only smells like one raccoon died instead of 4.  Maybe after regular use it will get better.

Up the concentration and soak it overnight.

I have this problem, but oddly enough it is only with my paddling gloves.
For some reason the lycra/synthetic leather fabric just holds a nasty, athletes foot-meets-expired tuna smell. It is fine when they are dry (I rinse them and air dry them in hot sun) but man, it seems every trip out they get wet and then I go to adjust my hat or wipe a bead of sweat away and I almost retch.

I'll get some of the sink stink stuff next time I'm at the dive shop (good excuse for me to pick up a second game clip too :smt003)

I have three pairs of booties. Two have no problem. One pair always stanks bad. Soaked them a bucket with some multipurpose cleaner over night and it helped some.

This what I use and it does the job. (Wetsuit, booties, gloves, etc) I let it sit in a five gallon bucket for a little while then quick rinse with cold water.

Nathan tried using his dive gloves skiing one trip.  Again I was looking for what died.  Our probationary period ends this year, they should allow my family back  :smt003

rick, that sounds like something that would help alot, if i got out of the water to stand on the yak and drain every time i pissed i'd be out of the water half the time. so i might have to look into a pissete...  and seems like, (unless that dive in Sur was unusual for you), that you need a back door as well...  :smt005

When I went through intrector collage we were in our suits 6+ hrs a day 6 days a week. Talk about clearing a room. :smt044 I washed mine in some Dawn dish soap at the Laundromat around the corner. Industrial size tumble cold cycle.
