Hey folks-
I took a friend out for the first time on a yak and gave him a plastic bait.  We hooked into a 25" ling, released, a 14" cabezon, and a 37", 25.1 lb flatty.  What a fighter.  Really good Sashimi!

p.s. STICK WITH THE PLASTICS !

You might want to be careful eating that as sashimi

Hey everybody-
This fish was caught in northern SLO county, in 26 ft. of water,on a 1 1/2 OZ. brown head with a 5" halloween.  Oh, and by the way, the worms and there eggs are visible to the human eye, but only eat thinner tail meat, must be as clear as glass with no fat line, barbecue everything else.  I ate over 2.5 lbs raw, and was very healthy the next day.

A few years back I was working with a guy who pulled a 4-foot tape worm out of his ass while on the crapper.  Appearently the tail came part way out and he pulled the rest out.  It was then placed in a sampe jar and taken with him to the hospital.  Turns out it was a fish tape worm tha had been consumed along with some raw salmon one to two months earlier.  I believe that the treatment involved taking some medication over a fairly long period 4 to 6 weeks or so.  I do not recall what might have happened had he not found it.

In any case my point is that the illness may not occur right away.

Actually the 4ft assworm sounds easy compared to what the little curly ones do to you

How 'bout just preparing the sashimi by freezing it? Is there anyone on the board that can walk us through that?
