So sorry to hear about your loss.  I too have aging parents and sometimes worry when their health will give them problems.  It weird when I know their minds are still sharp but their bodies are not what it use to be. 
I remember digging up the back yard with my dad about 20 years ago, now he can only walk for 3 minutes at a time.
