New Revo 2013 Has Arrived

I got a call from CCK yesterday that my replacement kayak came in.  I hurriedly left work early to it pick up today and left my older boat with the bite marks. Just as I get out of my SUV, behold its ChuckE that comes to greet me .  He just got back from his Mexican trip and still has his AI on top of his Volvo!
 
The CCK staff unwrap the brand new Revo and we all get a surprise its a 2013 model based on the serial number that ends with 13.  Keith the owner of CCK deciphers the serial numbers and letters then tells me it was manufactured July 2013 so its only a few days old. Keith also pointed out that Hobie shipped the new hull by itself which is very rare because of high shipping expenses.

I am very grateful to everybody for making this happen so fast.  ChuckE got Hobie's green light in just 2 working days.
Keith and the CCK staff were tremendously helpful.  Hobie Corporate for being so generous.
I noticed 2 things different on the 2013 model; the scupper holes are reinforced with a black sleeve and there's a Hobie logo next to the bow hatch.  Its a new Hibiscus Red that's brighter that the 2012s.

Swweeeeeeeeeeet!  Mel.  I hope ChuckE has some nice fish to report from Baja since we missed him at PIF.

Make sure to try your seat on the new revo, they changed the way the pegs lock in on the new boats, they are 1/4 turn cam style now. If you have an old seat it might not work. Nice looking boat

My old seat fits just fine. Amazing how Hobie continuously improves their products.

CCK-I spent a summer working there & never heard a bad thing about Keith from any employees. We all enjoyed working there.

Other than what mentioned I can't find any more improvements, I only have it less than 24 hours.  Most likely when the dealers order new inventory the newer models will be shipped.  Keith at CCK told me its the first time he's seen one like mine and he sells a lot of Hobies.

Yep that was me on 880 on my way to CCK. 

Just found out this a NEW Hibiscus color and it’s a bit brighter than the 2012 models.

Red yaks are awesome.
