From what I noticed last year there was always a kayak nearby. I worked the kelp beds last year and there were about 4-5 other kayakers in the area. Its a really great location.

There are usually 80-100 participants in the MBK Tourney--and NCKA usually represents with 50-60 members. I think the 1st annual was won by a non-ncka guy, but since then it's been all ncka. Heck, I think e2g has won more yaks than he's bought! I've got a 2nd and two 3rd place finishes.
We gotta represent again guys! Plan to signup during the PIF event on 7/21. Or just call & signup now!

I live only 20-25 minutes away and have NEVER fished the area ... shame on me!  I'd be open to enter if there is someone out there who I might be able to tag along in the general vacinity so I'm not flying 100% blind

I am sure that will not be a problem, can point you in the general direction to go depending on your target species and I guarantee that other yaks will be in the area with you.
