Loose Screws kayak fishing trip in Oregon

We got the Oregon 3-day fishing licenses today and will join the guys up here for the pre-derby fishing in the morning.  Stopped by the Chinook Bend RV Resort to say "hi" to the guys then went to the Depoe Bay harbour to check out the launch area.  So far the weather is nice in the morning but the "fan" was on in the afternoon.  Will post a report here after we got back from fishing.

He's showing us the unique trailer. The pop-up alone costs almost $4k which he ordered from oversea.  He got great setup inside that pop-up too!

Just got back from the pre-derby fishing today.  Still cleaning gears and fish.   Despite the fast drift due to big tidal swing we did good and ready for tomorrow.  Will post more details tonight.  Here are a couple of teasers

Just teasing you guys.  We didn't catch those 2 Hali.  They're caught by PB about 3 mile out in 200 FOW.  We spent a majority of time searching for nice structures to be ready for the derby tomorrow.  I should go to bed now as we need to be there o-dark 30 since the derby starts at 6am and parking is limited there!  Here are some pictures of the day...
