Thanks in advance.

Just like fishing folsom :smt007 find Winchell cove marina (might have different name now) take some striper gear and bait. Catfish in the eavning. Little resident agents work well for bass.typical valley lake. Great sandy beaches... have fun
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

You might wanna PM Yakhopper or visit him at Fishermen's Warehouse, I believe that's his go-to lake and knows it well.

I've camped at Millerton a few times since this post: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=12820.msg257076#msg257076

It's a great place to camp. We stay in the SRA on the north side--right on the water. There are tons of spotted bass and panfish to play with. There are also catfish, stripers, LMB, and trout but the trout are pretty rare. I'd say rig up 1 rod for bass with some plastic finesse baits like senkos, creatures, or drop-shotted worms. Then rig another rod w/bait for catfish & stripers.
I haven't travelled very far from the campground, but I'd love to checkout the boat-in camp or launch from Finegold and paddle up the river.
I'm going to take the family to Millerton in August.
Good luck!

Pretty much what has already been said, lots of bass (spots) around most structure . Dart head 1/8 oz. With 4" shad colors worms. If you have a boat, head up river and hit the shade run for a rush..
Good luck .... feel free to hit me up for any more info you may need.

Thanks for the info everyone. Dont have a boat but bringing my yak. Will post on how I do. Think I yak fish in the day and bank fish the evenings. I called the lake and they said you have to be off the water by sundown. My see if I can make it to the mouth of the river from our site on the north shore.
Thanks
