So i Have this big Dent right in the middle of my prowler, My own dumb ass fault.........

I have had them before and popping them out was as simple as turning it upside down and letting the sun do its work.......This time that's not working at all. :smt010

I have tried using a huge wooden rod....broke that :smt009 Ive tried The metal pry bar with boiling water, but keep warping around the opening of the hull. I def. dont wont to damage my Yak anymore then it is. Thought about a bottle jack but it too tall.

Im just plumb out of idea.....Got any? Ever had this happen to you?

Almost time for a new yak :smt010 :smt009 :smt012 :smt013 :smt010

- duct tape a large black trash bag over the dent and leave it under direct sun light

or....

- lay in on the lawn, put two foam blocks on each side of the dent and fill it up the kayak with water

If I get a stubborn dent in a rental boat I stick it up on a stand and pour boiling water onto the dent. This usually softens the plastic enough to push it back out. If not wedge something in the dent and use hot water. Sometimes kayaks just don't pop out.

I say fill it up with water and let it sit in the backyard.  The weight of the water and the warmth of the sun oughta slam it back in shape.  Good luck dad, you could always just get a hobie :smt003

I gotta know. How in hell did that happen anyway. Come on dude you can tell us. Like Dan said, I think you should put the boat right side up and support at either end and start pouring boiling hot water so it goes to the dented area. Try to apply side pressure on either side of the dent and hope for the best. If you cant get it done. I want a chance. Come over to Petaluma tomorrow and Ill fix it. I know I can.
