Am i supposed to put the foam on the inside or the outside? Thanks for the tips mooch I miss u

outside...use it as a cradle. the weight of the water should do the work. In the mean time, if you need a kayak, you can use my P-15.

Miss u too :smt008

I gotta know. How in hell did that happen anyway. Come on dude you can tell us. Like Dan said, I think you should put the boat right side up and support at either end and start pouring boiling hot water so it goes to the dented area. Try to apply side pressure on either side of the dent and hope for the best. If you cant get it done. I want a chance. Come over to Petaluma tomorrow and Ill fix it. I know I can.

Thank you Craig But I cant make it tomorrow i gotta work. I F'd it up by putting it on my lumber rack right side up in the Lake Camanche 100+ heat. I had it strapped for a day or 2

Bondo?

:smt003 Please dont try this!  :smt005

Thats a procedure I wouldnt recommend   :smt003

I say fill it up with water and let it sit in the backyard.  The weight of the water and the warmth of the sun oughta slam it back in shape.  Good luck dad, you could always just get a hobie :smt003

Thats a procedure I would recommend.

I was laughing -lol- while reading the bondo comment...

Then my wife asks what was I reading. I told her about a dent, and the guy cant get it out... she says, try a plunger...  :smt003
 :smt007 she's a quick thinker...dont know what she's doing with me though.  :smt005
And then I remenbered I use a double cup puller for raised Server room floors. (same as the glass guys use) That would help pull it no problem, with some heat on the crease.

Try heating up the crease and pulling with the plunger. if it does pop, hold it out and cool the hot spot with cold water.  Hopefully it will oilcan and stick.

Remember those infomercials for the Ding King?  Yeah, you need an industrial size one.  That's a huge dent, good luck!

If it can't be fixed with duct tape & bailing wire, it's trashed!

Lmao :smt044^

The trick is to fill your yak with HOT water it become so much easier to work with. I popped out dent and let it sit with water in it for a few day= no mo' dent

Harbor Freight has a 4" suction cup with a handle on it. If the heat (black trash bag) and water weight doesn't work (it should), try leaving it in the sun and pulling it out with the suction cup/handle.

I've pulled dents out of cars, trucks and a chest freezer lid with mine.

run counterclockwise circles around your kayak and it will pop out.  of course on the southern hemisphere you would have to run in the clockwise direction.

i think this is probably my best post.

You laugh now but it's true.  I can fix just about anything with duct tape and some bailing wire.  I've been in situations where duct tape and a tampon were the only tools available to keep the damn boat afloat long enough to get back to the dock.  Worked perfect!  Just applied resin and left it there afterwards!  Why fix what ain't broken?
