Hey Ben, we could still use some sort of either noodle or potato or rice salad. We also need green salad. Thanks for your help.

If Ben could pick up the corn on the cob, that would help out great.  Awesome prices this weekend, Memorial Day weekend on COB too!

If you do wish to get the corn, let me know so I don't get it as well.

Here is what we have so far.  If I missed something, let me know. I'll keep updating this up to the time of the event.  It is really looking like a great feast.  Thanks to you.

Sure, we can do potato salad and buy some corn on the cob for the group, but might need some help in cooking it.  how many do you think we need for the corn? 50 cobs?  more?

Ears of corn?     I would say 65-75.  If it is sweet, it will go fast.

I have a 20 quart aluminum pot that I bought for the HOW crab outing that got cancelled.

I can bring that if you need.

Potato salad--I bought six quarts last year and we only ate three.

alright, i'll get the ears of corn and about 3 qts of potato salad..gotta check with mom to see if she's up with making that much potato salad, if not its costco for me.  I don't have anything big enough to cook the corn in, so yeah, the pot would probably be good.

We need big pots!  Can never have too many I say.   Something always needs heating and if not the corn, I'll have stuff too. Thanks raydon.

Costco San Francisco-style potato salad is great stuff if mom needs to take a rain check on making that much.

Cheers!

Yes I think potato salad form Costco.  I got mine from Sam's club and it was inexpensive.
I'm close to Sam's club Concord, so if you need help with that, let me know.  No need to
burn your moms out.

40-50 ears of corn is plenty. I usually cut them in thirds. I also have a big pot for boiling corn. Don't forget butter.

I picked up 48 pounds of pork shoulder yesterday along with 96 buns (4 packages of 24 each) from Costco yesterday.  They'll have rub applied on Wednesday and tossed into the smoker Thursday.
