"Red Dog" had the best owner ever

When I finally made it out to my first NCKA event this year, it was Red Dog and Allen that first greeted me to BSS2.  Right away I got the impression that Red Dog was the unofficial mascot for the club by the way he made his rounds to welcome everyone to the event.  Needless to say he left quite the doggie impression on me.

Allen, sorry for the loss of your best friend.  He will truly be missed by all of us.

It is truely a sad day when we lose a best friend, my condolences!

  So very sorry to hear Allen, Patrick, and your whole family have my deepest condolences.  Red Dog will be missed by many, but will be remembered by all of NCKA.

We have been lucky enough to have some pretty special dogs in our lives, Red was one of the sweetest, studliest and most loyal.  Lots of happy memories and photos to keep his spirit around.  Dad has a wall in his office ("The Wall of Shame" he calls it) that is covered in photos of great adventures and friends.  While we were spending some last moments with Red under Dad's desk (his favorite spot in the office), above him was a good chunk of his story.  Pictures of him as a pup with his mama, wearing silly hats, in boats and campgrounds, stretched out somewhere on a nice cool concrete floor, swimming, smiling, all classic Red Dog activities are on display.  He lived a great life and will always be remembered and loved.

I am so sorry, just seeing this post...my condolences Alan and family.  Such great stories of Red Dog shared just this past GS6.

I just found this old pic of my puppy Jake giving Red Dog some love.  Jake's gonna miss his buddy too.

I just saw this, so sorry to hear Bro, he was one well loved pup, you kept him happy to the end.
