I got high blood sugar, changed everything I ate and drank to super low carb, drink nothing but water and so on... light exercise and lots diving, lost 41 pounds. :)
I thought you looked different in your avatar!

Great news about the new job bro! I'm stoked for you. Now to find that ling!

thats great news man , I've been there before and luckily my GF supported my ass , it was actually a good time for me ...i excersized everyday and lost hella weight , got some school stuff finished as well. some folks give up and get in a slump. I ended up taking a low paying job at Target just to keep things moving and after 2 months they promoted me to management which is actually working pretty well for me.

again congrats!

yeah, things got pretty stressful, right when I got laid off. Then shit got even worse and more stressful. The week i got laid off, I was on my commute home, driving 17, and some A-hole was all over me, driving crazy, eventually almost put me in the center divider, had to slam my brakes and got sideways to avoid the wall. Later that same A-hole got up next to me and was laughing, flipping me off in stopped traffic. I ended up flipping a tiny gumball at the A-hole and returning the flip off. I made a report to the police, told them exactly what happend and they wrote me up for flipping candy. The DA then charged me for it, cost me a lawyer, $3000, a misdemeanor, and 1 year probation. Seriously? wtf? So much for being honest. Then I found out my blood sugar was high to top it off.

Anyway my stress PEAKED between that and getting laid off all the same time! Had to make some changes and make a serious effort to get back to a more positive way of thinking. With out my family, friends, diving and fishing I would have sank to the depths of misery. Anyway, pulled it off! Super stoked!

Yeah dude...your luck has NOT been good for awhile now....course, you made a great DD home from the beach once you were on probation and not drinking anymore!  :smt004

Don't forget about selling your yak to pay for the lawyer, then finally getting a new one, and then it somehow got a mysterious hole in it!  :smt013 :smt002 :smt005

And don't forgot about the lost speargun shaft and wedding band!!!  :smt010

The pendulum is swinging for you now though bro....I see a big fish in your future.

Congratulations on the job, Brent!

41 lbs, that is damn impressive!  I've been recently categorized as "pre-diabetic" so I'm also changing the diet up, and feel better already.

Thanks guys! Still got 3 months of my candy flipping probation :)

yeah, jim, forgot about all that shit!

oh, im also being sued :) my brother in law crashed a car that was registered to me, some how even though I was no where near the accident, i get sued, our system is jacked!

Tha is going down in 2 weeks! Still stressed about that, they said i could be liable for up to 15k? i know nothing about how this stuff works, but im irritated by it.

Eric,

Just my opinion, and some wont agree, but take the "pre" off diabetic, and treat yourself as diabetic. Dont F around! Exercise and eat right, your sugar will drop, so will the weight! Its a serious challenege, I got a meter and the first several months tested after everything I ate, maybe over kill but Im not messing around. I like to know how every food I eat effects my blood sugar. Its amazing how exercise, even a little will chnage your blood sugar, then you can slowly figure out what you can and cant eat, and how much. Im still a rookie, but ive lost a lot of weight and feel great now, like I said, im not even messing around with it. My blood sugars are almost always good now, with the right foods! If I cheat, then test, its usually much much higher. Moderation!
