I had such a great time yesterday. I am still sore from climbing in that tube. This was my first time clamming and it will not be my last. I was lucky to have Sonny as my partner. He showed me the ropes and we had our limit before we knew it.

Once again the Loose Screws know how to throw a great party. The food was great! My fist time having abalone and clam sashimi. It was so tasty and fresh. It was great to see familiar faces and new ones. Looking forward to hanging out again.

Thank you for posting the hookup LS!

I had a blast playing in the sand all morning. The food was great and the company was even better.  :beer2

I've come to expect from a LS event, there will always be good company, good food, and good times! Chumchum and I arrived a bit earlier than most in the morning to kayak to the other side of the bay to do some recon on rumors that there were abalone to be had on the ocean side.  We paddled across and landed on the opposite beach.  After a grueling hike up the hill, we reached the other side, and were greeted by gnarly water and cliffs as far as the eye can see......

Luckily, Wes found a local trail that wound down 3/4 of the way to the beach before a 30 ft vertical drop to the beach below.

After scaling down the ropes, we scrambled around in the rocks and managed our limits of abalone (I was amazed since this was Wes' first time rock picking.  I know veterans that go home skunked these days!). Nothing to write home about, but we got em. Scaled back up the cliff, up the hill, down the hill.  I paddled all the way back across the bay, picked up my wife and son, and proceeded to kayak back to the island to join the group playing gleefully in the mud.

My wife and son also had a great time out there.  I was glad Daviator brought his family along!

Sorry I didn't get more pics, but I was trashed after wards, and was too busy happily enjoying the food and company only a LS hookup can provide!
