Another successful LS clamming hookup.  Once again the weatherman was wrong and we enjoyed a beautiful day clamming, crabbing, and fishing.  The food court was awesome!  Beside the chips, cookies, cakes, sandwiches, we also got steam crabs, Abalone Sashimi and fried styles, Pam (not Dave's wife)  :smt003 wrap in Nori, and clam chowder.  We all had fun in the mud and caught lots of them.  I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story...

Thanks for the pictures and the posting Sonny.  It was another epic "Loose Screws" clamming adventure.  Between kids that didn't require a license and licensed yakkers, we were able to dig 130 Horsenecks and we did it.  Limits were had by all.  The clams seemed to be a little deeper than in the past but they were reachable and many were "extra large".  I'm  not going to try and list everyone who was there because I'm sure I would miss at least one but it was a great NCKA event.  The after clamming food was  amazing as usual.  We had abalone sashimi, clam sashimi, HobiDave's chowder, Margaritas, Beer.....................What a great day!

Hi all,

We had a nice time at Lawson's Landing despite the rain that came in on Monday night.  At least we got some good clamming done.  As usually, good seeing everyone, those we know and those we meet for the first time and the variety of foods.  If anyone goes back and happens to find a crab trap which has a white float with a brown ghost on it, it is mine that I couldn't locate on Tuesday, I would appreciate if you could bring it to me at one of the following events, if you are attending:  Clearlake, Lake Berresya, Shelter Cove or Albion.  I also be attending all of Yakhopper's events.  We look forward to clamming next year (if it becomes a yearly event) and at all the upcoming events.  Frank & Bunny

Thanks for the hookups guys :smt002
Thanks John(Fiver) for the abaloni sashimi.  My very first fresh ab.  I might just join you guys next time on your trek accross the hill to the ab beds. :smt003  That coast guard chopper spent a good amount of gas just to make sure you and Wes make it back to safety :smt003  It was all worth it though!
Kiel I hope that set up with the clams is on the recipe page now :smt007
