sorry for the late posting as I finally had a chance to sleep in and rest..
following the clean up from Mondays event...I got 5hrs sleep,..woke up at 3 to go fishing in Moss Landing for salmon... can't wait to go back to work tomorrow so I can get some sleep....haha

where to start on this Epic event.????

Great pics guys... really captured some of the days events. (especially Loreta Eric's pic of hobiedae and John abv)
the pic of me sleeping on dave's trailer says it all for me...serious food coma..
started off with the cheese salami plate Pam put together..then worked into bahn mi sonny brought...
took a detour to scour down a few of martins wife (sue's) lemon bar...(trust me...those lemon bars come out..drop everything before Pam gets there..she's my competition)
washing everything down with martins SN Torpedo...
then comes out hobiedaves clam chowder...yum..then  Johns deli-sliced abalone....killer...followed by hobiedaves grilled teriyaki sirloin.....hoa hoa hoa.. then snacked on a quarter of Hai/ martins dungy crab..
another swig of (hai's ) margarita....my eyes get very sleepy and its time for me to do the Yogi bear nap time...

awesome group of people gathered today..nice warm up for SS2, GS6, Albion, Yakhopper series... This NCKA comraderie is the tops..
My family really enjoyed coming out today.. my kids played with John's...my wife yapped Pam, Bunny and Beverly...couldn't ask for better wx...WOW...
Good to make new friends like Victor and Wes..and got to spend more time getting better acquainted with guys like Kiel, Rey, John, Frank, and Hai. (sorry I am sure I am leaving someone out)
Sonny, Hobie, Dave, ...you guys are the BOD to the Loose Screws... Congrats on another succesfully planned hookup. Sorry other members couldn't make it out for todays event...we missed your company.

Thanks everyone for your generosity in packing food/ booze to share.. Thanks for working togehter ensuring everyone, especially the small ones, were safe.. (I put the whole family on a Malibu II...probably the last time I can get away with that since we were near load limit...so thanks sonny for following me in.)

John and Wes...you guys make us old guys jealous with your stamina..you pulled a double header with your ab trip before clamming.. packing the deli-slicer for the thinnly sliced abalone ..absolutely top notch!!! thanks for sharing..( too bad Pam wanted to card you Wes for drinking alcohol)

This is turning out to be a great season enjoying the splendors of the outdoors, and harvesting the rich resources we are so blessed with.
I am so grateful for for the friendship this community fosters..

cheers,
daviator

Well said Dave.  I think something got in my eyes  :smt022

Great job guys!!   I would love to do some clamming, but that would require convincing my significant other that she will like the taste.

But I would like some more info about your fishing efforts.  What did you target, how, and where?  I am assuming that since there were no fish pics that you weren't too successful on catching any.

  Thanks!!

Like G-Whiz I KNEW I would be hating life after looking at this post. But I just couldn't help myself.
You guys show everyone else how it's done. Food, family, fun, you've got it all.
Of course something came up that caused me not to be able to come with, but if you're all going out May 7th I'm making a promise to be there this time.
Thanks for the exhausting report.

We dropped the crab pots then fish for Perch but the current was too strong so no fish was caught.

I was so tired after clamming, I did not even try to fish.  I prepared to target perch but decided to let them live for another day.  From what I saw in the distance, the surf look to much for me to handle to go out and try for salmon that day.

Congratulate on the pearl.  I will start looking for it in the future. Please post a picture of the pearl.

So I finally have a breather from work and this cold I got but like fiver said we got there early for our hike over the hill! I wish that i left my dive belt with the yak instead of caring it all the way up the hill and then not using it  :smt044. The hike was fun but we got sidtracked from the main trail by elk trails but we ended up seeing 8 thule Elk! The local trail we found was epic with that 30 ft drop thanks john for posting the pics! The trail reminded me of jade cove down south and I was super excited for my first rockpicking trip! all my abs came of the rock easyer than i thought and none of them were damaged by my iron! though there was not much length to them some of them were thick and old probably do to the hard conditions of living in the surf zone. The bigest of the abs had an interesting shell formation and a PEARL!!!! so amzing to find!!! the others abs had the most amazing colors inside and def made my other abs look dull. On our way back in the coasties circled us and probably had spoted our empty yaks on the beach earlyer and just wanted to make sure we were ok  :smt003. Clams where dug up as always and my arms are killing me after my double work out at lawsons ! Thanks for all the amazing food guys and it was funny that pam wanted to card me but I swear im 23  :smt044 all right enough talking here are the pics!

Thanks for the pictures Wes. I have caught many Abs during my youth but never checked them for pearls.  Not sure how rare are they but it's great find nevertheless.  Make a great gift for your GF/wife.

The Loose Screws ROCK!  Way to put on another outing that shows the best of life.  This club is about loving the outdoors and each other.  I'm stoked to be seeing you guys in a few weeks.   :smt001

Great vid, Rey.   :smt001

Glad you enjoyed Eric!  Weird how YouTube fixes the shakiness of the video.  It worked though as long as you concentrate on the center of the video and ignore the top and bottom part.

Men in action video! Caution...  don't try this if you are out of shape.

I thought reading the post would make me regret not going; but watching the video makes me want to shoot myself in the _________!  What a great time everyone had! Especially enjoyed watching Sonny & Victor tabletop dancing!!!!

Eileen wants to know why I didn't go... I told her you guys did not invite me; so now she's mad at all of you!!  someone has got some explaining to do now....:smt044
