As I mentioned in another post "I tried Yakhopper but he couldn't get it in yellow or sunrise and I gotta have high vis... I'm in the north bay (Santa Rosa), any ideas? I'd prefer a kayak fishing shop rather than a paddling shop. And of course a good deal would be nice". I'm ready to pull the trigger or should I say the wife is ready (it's a b-day present). So, who would you be happy giving your money to? And why?

Thanks

since you are in santa rosa, make a run down to petaluma and talk to the boys at clavey, great shop, great knowledge and a ncka discount, second choice for the northbay for me is outback adventures in san anselmo, cameron

Thanks Cam, I'll be heading down to Clavey's for all the upgrades. As far as the yak is concerned I gotta give it up for Adventure Sports at the new location in Oakley. I saw their add in our classifieds (some KILLER deals), so I called and bought a Prowler 13 demo (over the phone) for $650. But dig this, they had some kind of foul up and when my bro showed up to pick it up for me it wasn't there. WTF! right?

Well, being the studs that they are, they upgraded me to a NEW Trident 13 and threw in a paddle to boot. All at no extra charge. They made it clear that it was because of my membership with NCKA, So obviously I can't recommend them enough!

So in a few months, when I am ready to buy an Ultra, sounds like I need to make a drive to Oakley?

These days, where you can get ANYTHING on the internet, and everybody is willing to undercut anyone else for a few bucks, the only thing that makes a difference is CUSTOMER SERVICE. Very few people have figured this out... I would happily spend more money with a place that makes me feel like they value my business and are honorable, sounds like these guys are on the right path.. :smt023
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
